What her students say: "Sudie is an absolute joy to work with. She teaches techniques for breathing, intonation, and diction that are invaluable, and simply makes learning to sing a great pleasure." Joann Furman, student "Sudie helps me to step out of my comfort zone and to try new things. She is fun, but very focused on helping me to develop my singing skills. Her ability to explain things in a manner I can understand and visualize is extremely helpful especially since I am so new with no formal music training. I feel so fortunate to have found her!" Brianna Couture, student There are many reasons why I love studying voice with Sudie. An accomplished and talented musician, she shares her expertise in a gentle and respectful way. With a perfect combination of warmth and professionalism, Sudie makes her studio into a place where it feels safe to take risks. As she seeks to guide me towards discovering who I can be as a singer, she draws upon her deep understanding of the psychology of singing as well as the mechanics of it. Sudie excels at exploring different strategies until she finds some that work for each individual student. It is clear that she enjoys teaching and feels energized by it. Her love of music is infectious. I often leave lessons feeling reflective of new concepts or self discoveries combined with pride in my accomplishments and the excitement of new challenges. Maija K.
